About these terms
These terms govern your use of claritasart.com (the “Platform”). By using the Platform, creating an account, buying or selling, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Platform.
Our role
Claritas Art is an online marketplace that connects artists with collectors. Unless stated otherwise, artworks are sold by the artists who list them, and the contract of sale is between the buyer and the artist. We provide the Platform, payment processing, and support.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login secure. You must be at least 18 to create an account or make a purchase.
Buying
Prices are shown on each artwork page; shipping costs and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. An order is confirmed once payment is received. Delivery, returns and refunds are covered by our Shipping and Returns & Refunds policies.
Selling
Artists must be approved by Claritas Art, stay within the active artwork limit of their membership plan (Free Artist, Artist Basic, Artist Pro or Artist Premium, as described on the Artist Membership page), follow the Artist Guidelines, and only list work they have the right to sell. Artists remain the copyright owners of their work and grant Claritas Art a licence to display it to promote the listing and the Platform.
Acceptable use
- Don’t list or buy items that infringe the rights of others or break the law
- Don’t complete Platform sales off-platform
- Don’t interfere with the Platform’s security or operation
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Claritas Art is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
